NEW YEAR, NEW CONTACTS, NEW START, NEW EVENT.......
Rovers are pleased to invite you to the latest Business at Rovers event, to be held at Ewood Park in our newly refurbished Blues.
Join us at our first networking event of the year as we welcome our main speaker, Dr Andy Hill.
Andy will spend time discussing his journey as a psychologist, including his experiences throughout his career, with the former University of Edinburgh and UCLAN lecturer revealing all about his current role as Performance Psychologist with Blackburn Rovers where he has spent the last three-and-a-half years, alongside his work with other Team GB athletes. In particular, he will be focusing on how lessons learned in sports performance can be applied to performance in business.
As part of his work, Hill has joined forces with Mindflick to deliver Spotlight, a profiling tool designed with performance in mind. By allowing individuals to better understand their own and their teams’ performance preferences, Spotlight facilitates the development of psychological and behavioural flexibility, and ultimately, better performance. And for this networking event, Andy has kindly agreed to produce one of these in-depth Spotlight packs for each of the first 60 individuals that sign up.
Joining Dr Hill will be Rovers Chief Executive Steve Waggott. Steve will be celebrating just over a year at the helm following his appointment in late 2017, and will discuss the highs and lows of his time at Rovers, future plans and much more.
There will also be another speaker from one of our partners, which will be confirmed in due course.
The event will take place on Thursday 17th January from 8.30am.
Business Development Manager Danny Davis said: “We have plenty of high profile professionals working here at Rovers that we can utilise, and with both Andy and Steve we have two individuals with completely different backgrounds.
“With each event we aim to provide a variety of speakers and that’s exactly what we have here. It promises to be the perfect way to start your day.
“On a personal level I’m fascinated with how psychology works, and there aren’t many people as knowledgeable as Andy in that field.
