Alliance Learning is thrilled to collaborate with Justin Kellett Opticians, a Local Independent Opticians Boutique located in Horwich. We are currently seeking a Customer Assistant to join our dynamic team during a period of exciting company growth. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for customers, contributing to the seamless day-to-day operations while working towards their Customer Service Level 2 Qualification, which typically takes approximately 17 months to complete.

Embarking on a role in Customer Service provides an excellent entry point into the business, offering the candidate an opportunity to familiarise themselves with every aspect of the company. As they work towards a nationally recognised qualification, there is potential for progression into more advanced roles within the business, along with the possibility of acquiring additional qualifications.

Hours and Location:

This is a full-time role which involves working 37.5 hours per week. This vacancy is based Justin Kellett Opticians, 70 Winter Hey Lane, Horwich, BL6 7NZ

Reporting to the Company Owner, the main responsibilities for a Customer Service Apprentice are:

• Work on reception, providing a welcoming environment. • Meet and assist customers, ensuring a positive experience. • Book and manage appointments efficiently. • Handle incoming and outgoing calls, addressing customer needs. • Utilize our database for inputting customer details and processing orders. • Keep track of order status for effective management. • Contribute to our ecommerce site, including order fulfilment. • Explore the opportunity to work in our fully equipped laboratory manufacturing spectacle frames and sunglasses. • Deal with customer enquiries promptly and professionally. • Perform general administration duties such as filing, photocopying, and order sorting. • Work in the back-office to ensure seamless order processing and maintain high customer service standards.

After successfully completing the apprenticeship, there is potential for progression into more advanced roles within the business, along with the possibility of acquiring additional qualifications.
